AUA-UM Overseas Study Program

Overview

This is organized by AUA (Asian Universities Alliance). There will be online lectures on "Empowering the Young Generation with Foundational Competencies for the Future World of Work". The best performing student will have chance to win a 500 USD prize. See the program schedule for the details.

Programs

Date: March 18 - 22, 2024
Venue: Online
Host: Faculty of Engineering and International Relations Centre, University Malaya
Capacity: 2 undergraduate or postgraduate students (potential for one students to be placed on a waiting list)

[Eligibility Criteria and Requirements]
-Undergraduate or postgraduate students. Applicants must be students who are enrolled as full-time students at the University during the period of the program. (Those who are on temporary leave from the University or those who will lose their student status due to graduation, etc. during the time of the program are not eligible to apply.)
-Please only apply after consulting with the relevant section of the Faculty with which you will be affiliated during the program term in order to receive explanations on the points to be noted concerning the program and, and fully understand the points. Also, please note that there could be specific regulations regarding the program.
-Students who already have a supervisor or equivalent at UTokyo must notify them of their application to the program in advance and receive approval from the supervisor.
-Fulfill all the requirement mandated by AUA such as internet access and Microsoft Teams account.
-Students who can submit academic assignments
-Students must follow all instructions or warnings given by UTokyo and the host institute.

Notes

・Before applying, applicants must make sure that the programs do not interfere with their semester courses since no consideration may be made for attending the program and may make study plan on its own responsibility.
・Participants must fully comprehend the purposes of the programs and strive to complete the program courses while achieving a high level of academic performance.
・Participants must be aware that they are representatives of the University, and thus must comply with the regulations and rules of their host universities.
・Participants must be aware that they have been recommended by the University, and thus must not cancel their participation or be absent without notice.
・Participants must submit a report (google form will be sent out to the participants later) to the International Education Promotion Group, UTokyo, after completing the program.
