Overview

The University of Tokyo attaches great importance to global education and encourages students to study abroad and participate in international activities.
This time, we are planning an exciting event with Dame Louise Richardson, president of the Carnegie Corporation of New York. Previously, she served as vice-chancellor of the University of Oxford and of the University of St. Andrews, and as executive dean of the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study. She is also widely recognized as an expert on terrorism and international relations.
This event will take place during her visit to the University of Tokyo. Dame Louise will engage in a dialogue with President Teruo Fujii, Executive Vice President Kaori Hayashi and students. This event is moderated by Vice President of UTokyo and Director of the Center for Global Education(GlobE), Professor Yujin Yaguchi. We invite all UTokyo students join this informative, meaningful, and inspiring event!

Notes

・Before applying, applicants must make sure that the event does not interfere with their UTokyo courses since no considerations will be made to attend the event. Applicants are responsible for the scheduling and their study plan.
・Absences from the University’s courses to participate in the event will not be approved. Therefore, students must confirm that their course schedule does not conflict with the event.
