Interactions & Collaborations with Local Communities

In order to promote exchange between individuals, various activities are planned by local government and citizen groups. UTokyo seeks to act as a link between students and the community in order to provide both sides with ways of reaching out to each other. Taking part in these activities will help you learn more about Japanese culture and can make your stay in Japan even more beneficial! Information about events and activities are announced on this website or sent out by email newsletter for international students/researchers. Make sure to register for the email newsletter to receive the latest information!

One-to-One Cultural Exchange Program with local volunteers is offered on Kashiwa Campus.

●Activities and support offered by International Associations
Some local municipalities (ward/city/prefecture, etc.) provide supports and assistance to their foreign residents with Japanese language and daily life. They also offer several cultural introduction events. Contact the ward/city office where you live for more information. Refer to the following website.
