○Embrace Differences賞 "Smiles That Cross Borders 国境を越える笑顔" by Dipesh Kharel (Graduate School of Interdisciplinary Information Studies)

(Essay)
"In August 2023, students from the University of Tokyo and Asian University for Women embarked on a 10-day summer program and symposium, marked by initial nervousness and culminating in heartfelt smiles at the farewell party. A photograph taken during the farewell party captured a beautiful smile, symbolizing the promise of future reunions and the birth of enduring, cross-cultural friendships. These connections transcended boundaries of nationality, religion, gender, and language, illustrating the profound unity possible in a short time. Diverse individuals coming together showcased the potential for mutual growth, igniting hope for a more peaceful world built on understanding and friendship."

Chaos at the studio" by Yuta Nihei (Graduate School of Engineering)

(Essay)
"Purposeless conversations or relationships seldom happen online. Unless you actively participate, the place itself disappears (ex: Zoom meetings are born with a purpose and close upon achieving it). Places where you can just be there without any purpose, serve as safeguards for passive, boring, insignificant, yet crucial interactions. The everyday life at the studio teaches me that regardless of what we create, or don’t create, we are living together a modest and beloved daily life."

○Into a Sea of Diversity賞 "多様性は美しさ Diversity is Beauty." by William Hanvey (USTEP)

(Essay)
"Everyone is different. Some people may look the same, some people may act similarly, and some people may be moving towards the same goals, but diversity is humanity's strength. Similarly, diversity makes koi beautiful. If all koi were the same color, had the same pattern, and moved the same way, we wouldn’t find them so striking. When looking at the bigger picture, our differences can be lost amongst the crowd and obscured, as the shimmer of the water does to the koi's patterns. However, it is up to us to use our individuality to make the world a better place."

○Under the Table賞 "Under the Ginkgo Tree" by PENG AO 彭 澳

(Essay)
"UTokyo is famous for its Ginkgo trees. In autumn, the campus is decorated with yellow. Years ago, when I was waiting for the following lecture at the Komaba campus, enjoying the autumn leaves, a father and his daughter broke into my view. The curious toddler defined the peacefulness for me at this campus corner."

ISHIHASHI or One Four Eight Four: What has been locked" by 宋子韜 SONG ZI TAO (Graduate School of Education)

(Essay)
"I came to know the origin (a Japanese family name) of the above password of one frequently using room in the campus. No wonder why I was struggling for remembering it while the Japanese students wouldn’t. Absolutely IT’S IN JAPAN, however, that room is FOR ALL students no matter nationalities. Behind the door, what has been locked are not only the knowledge as of being born and growing up here, but also how foreign residents define themselves, and mostly, the local peoples’ way of thinking and some anger triggered by that. I want to open more than this lock."

○GlobE Visions Award(All works that passed the 2nd screening)
Small World at Sanshiro Pond"
Two Sides of the Same Scene"
"When Diversity Is Lost 失われた多様性"
Hidden interest"
Kimono Forest"
"Books about homosexual love"
Standing on the shoulders of giants"
