Students from both UTokyo and the University of Hong Kong (HKU) will take part in this program and take classes, do fieldworks and visit companies based in Hong Kong. This program’s topic for 2018 is Japan in Hong Kong: Challenges for the Future, with three constituent themes, (1) Historical Perspectives of Hong Kong, (2) Japanese Businesses in Hong Kong, and (3) Hong Kong in a Global Context. (Program Period) Aug 2 (Thu) – Aug 1(Mon), 2018 (Venue) Hong Kong (Number of UTokyo Students Accepted) Total of 14 undergraduate and graduate students (Program Costs) Total fees: approximately JPY 100,000 (including program fee, meals in Hong Kong, transportation in Tokyo, etc.) plus airfare Accommodation fee in Shun Hing College is free of charge thanks to the Hong Kong University (Scholarships) JPY 70,000 will be awarded those who are eligible and wish to receive the scholarships.
