This is a customized two week summer program for UTokyo students as well as students from other universities provided by University of Indonesia based on the “Universitas Indonesia – Credit Earning Program for Students” (UI-CREATES). The main targets for this program are undergraduate students, but graduate students who are also interested in the theme of this program can take part in this program. The program consists of cultural activities, lectures, and some site visits. In order to make it possible for students from various fields to participate, opportunities to learn subject themes and Indonesian culture will be provided from a cross- / multiple-disciplinary fields. On the last day, group meeting discussions will be held. Around half of the curriculum lectures in line with the theme will be at UI’s Depok Campus. Other activities will consist of visits to sites according to the theme, historical sites and so on. There will also be sessions to experience Indonesian culture. Participants can learn fundamental subjects for a broad knowledge required as a global talent through: 1) lectures in English, 2) experience gained through discussion and collaborate with other country’s students, and 3) through experiences of cultural knowledge and practical skills that cannot be experienced in your country.
(Program Period) Jul. 30 (Mon.) – Aug. 10 (Fri.), 2018 (Venue) Indonesia・Depok (Number of UTokyo Students Accepted) Total of 15 undergraduate and graduate students (Program Costs) JPY 100,000 (including accommodation, tuition fee, tour bus charter fee, reception, etc.) Airline tickets, dinner, personal expenses, and so on are to be paid individually. (Scholarships) JPY 70,000 will be awarded those who are eligible and wish to receive the scholarships.
