The University of Tokyo (UTokyo) will host a summer program at Hongo Campus in collaboration with Asian University for Women (AUW), Bangladesh.

Under the overarching theme of "Migration and Refugees," this program brings together students from two institutions with distinct characteristics.
Participants will engage in discussions to explore the history and current state of higher education globally, the social roles of universities in a changing world, diversity and inclusion in higher education, and the ideal form of the university in the modern era.The program will feature active-learning sessions, including lectures, discussions, and workshops led by experts from within and outside UTokyo, as well as field trips. Topics will include:
UTokyo students will also attend classes focusing on Bangladeshi affairs and the Bengali language while AUW students take Japanese language classes. At the end of the program, students will share their learning outcomes at a symposium which will be open to attendees from both within and outside the university.
In addition to lectures and the symposium, the program will offer a one-day excursion around Tokyo, participation in cultural events, and a visit to the Fast Retailing Foundation, the sponsor of the program. Students will also have opportunities to explore the city, visit cultural facilities, and enjoy meals with one another in their free time.
