地域文化研究専攻の雷婷さんがSaboohi I.Khan賞を受賞

　総合文化研究科 地域文化研究専攻 博士課程の雷婷（Lei Ting）さんが、アメリカ民俗学会（American Folklore Society）の2022 Saboohi I. Khan Awardを受賞されました。

　本賞は、その年のアジア、および／またはアジア系アメリカ人の民俗学研究に貢献した、最も優れた学生論文に対して与えられるものです。受賞論文は、“Boundary-Crossing Art: Tourism and Peasant Painting in Rural Shanghai.”で、雷さんの詳細なフィールドワークと、フォークアートや観光、アイデンティティに関する優れた研究が、中国の民俗学研究への貴重な貢献となったと高く評価されました。 

Lei Ting (PhD candidate at the University of Tokyo) received the Saboohi I. Khan Award for Student Scholarship in Asian and Asian American Folklore. The award was presented at the Society’s October Annual Meeting for their work “Boundary-Crossing Art: Tourism and Peasant Painting in Rural Shanghai.” Ting’s detailed fieldwork and impressive analysis of folk art, tourism, and identity has been a valuable contribution to the study of Chinese folklore.
