Suspension of Go Global Scholarships: 1st Call for the 2020 Short-term Study Abroad Scholarship

The University of Tokyo will cancel the following Go Global Scholarships for the first half of the school year (April to October).

This decision is made based on the continuing spread of Novel Coronavirus. The Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs has so far designated the world as “Level 2” (do not travel unless necessary) or “Level 3” (do not travel). Many nations have set up entry restrictions. The Division for Global Campus Initiatives has suspended all of its study abroad programs between April 1 to October 31, 2020 (the period of the 1st call for the 2020 Short Study Abroad Scholarship) to protect the safety of the students.

The decision regarding the 2nd call for this scholarship will be made later, based on the world condition to ensure the safety of all the students going on study abroad.
