AUA-NU Overseas Study Program 2022 (Online) on Water Resources Policy and Management

Overview

The University of Tokyo accepts applications from students, who wish to participate in the following program organized by AUA(Asian Universities Alliance). The course accentuates the role of water resources policy and management by focusing on Asia. See the attachment "Program Outline" for the details of the program content and the schedule.

Date: Every Wednesday, October 5th to December 7th, 2022 (7:00pm-10:00pm JST)
Venue:Online
Host:Nazarbayev University (Nur-Sultan, Republic of Kazakhstan)
Eligibility:
(1) Both undergraduate and graduate students from any field of study can apply. Applying students are required to be belong to a regular course of a College, Faculty, or Graduate School of UTokyo at the time of application, and will be enrolled in a regular course of aCollege, Faculty, or Graduate School throughout the study-abroad period. (Those who are on temporary leave from the University during the time of the program and those who graduate from/complete the faculty/graduate school of UTokyo during the study-abroad period are not eligible.
(2) Before applying, please confirm and consult with your affiliated College, Faculty, or Graduate School at the time of participation to the program about participating in the program to ensure you fully understand issues concerning study-abroad. In case it turned out that participation to the program will affect your study plan at UTokyo, your affiliated College, Faculty, or Graduate School may not permit your participation to the program even after your are accepted by the host institution.
(3) Students who already have a supervisor or equivalent at UTokyo must notify them of their application to the program in advance and receive approval from the supervisor (the date they received approval in the application on UTAS is required) 
(4) Fulfill all the requirement mandated by the host university such as internet access.
(5) Students who share an interest in related topics.
Number of candidates:Up to 3※ eligible students from UTokyo (screening of application documents) ※incl. 1 on the waiting list
Deadline:Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at noon (12:00) (Please apply via UTAS by this date and time.)
Program Cost:No fee needed if you are nominated by UTokyo and selected by AUA

Application Procedure

Make sure to complete the online application via UTAS before the deadline. Before applying, please read 'Program Outline' carefully. Please follow the instructions given in “Applying for Study Abroad Programs via UTAS”and apply from the “Study Abroad” tab on the Academic Affairs System website (UTAS, ITC-LMS). Also, please read the instructions in each section on UTAS application form carefully and follow the instructions.

※Copy of page in passport with your photo and Language Proficiency Certificate are not necessary to submit on "18. Attachment" on UTAS application form.

Notes

・Before applying, applicants must make sure that the programs do not interfere with their semester courses since no consideration may be made for attending the program and may make study plan on its own responsibility.
・Participants must fully comprehend the purposes of the programs and strive to complete the program courses while achieving a high level of academic performance.
・Participants must be aware that they are representatives of the University, and thus must comply with the regulations and rules of their host universities.
・Participants must be aware that they have been recommended by the University, and thus must not cancel their participation or be absent without notice.
・Participants must submit a report (google form will be sent out to the participants later) to the International Exchange Group, UTokyo, after completing the program.
