The University of Tokyo attaches great importance to global education and encourages students to study abroad and participate in international activities. This time, we are planning an exciting event with Professor John L. Hennessy, President Emeritus Stanford University and Director of Knight-Hennessy Scholars and current chairperson of Alphabet Inc., the parent company of Google, who will be visiting the University of Tokyo. At the event, President Emeritus Hennessy will introduce "Knight-Hennessy Scholars" at Stanford University, a scholarship program that cultivates and supports a multidisciplinary and multicultural community of graduate students from across Stanford University.
