UTokyo Go Global Study Abroad Fair 2022

We are going to hold the UTokyo Go Global Study Abroad Fair 2022 for the first time in three years! This will be an online event and participants can join the introduction session in which they can understand the overview of UTokyo study abroad programs and international exchange programs. Participants can also join interaction session in which they can ask questions and talk to students who are currently studying abroad and students who have studied abroad. We used to host event booths which are held by partner universities abroad and other institutions (please refer to the event report of the “Go Global Study Abroad Fair 2019” (Japanese language only) . However, we will not host those booths this year.

1. Main introduction session (by Division for Global Campus Initiatives)

April 26 (Tuesday)

Time: 19:00~ around 20:00
Content: You will be able to get the overview of study abroad programs and international exchange opportunities in UTokyo.
Place: Online (YouTube Live or zoom)

Language: Japanese
*We will upload the slides of the event in Japanese, as well as in English later.
Participants: UTokyo students (and staff members are also welcome to join)

Register by 23:59 of April 24, Sunday using the pre-registration form below. The URL link to join the session will be sent to registrants by the noon of the event day.
An archive video will be uploaded later in case you missed the live session.

2. Go Global Meeting (interaction session)

April 28 (Thursday)

Time: 19:00~ around 21:00
In the first half of the Go Global Meeting, there will be a presentation by the student who has studied abroad as an outbound USTEP student and he will share his experiences in the study abroad. The presentation will include various aspects of study abroad; such as how he decided to and prepared for study abroad, how he studied language, expenses and local life of study abroad. In the second half, you can interact and ask questions with students who are currently studying abroad or who have studied abroad. For more details and registration, please see the event page.

TOEFL information session
Organizer: Globalization Office
Outline: TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) is widely used not only for study abroad but also for employment examinations and graduate school entrance examinations. This seminar is recommended for those who are considering studying abroad in the future, as well as for those who want to learn more about TOEFL as a first step toward a global career. After the session, there will be time for Q&A, so please feel free to join us.

IELTS information session

Outline: An overview of the IELTS test, which is highly regarded internationally as an English language proficiency test, its features, and what English language skills are necessary for studying abroad will be discussed. After the session, we will answer your questions. If you are considering participating in a study abroad program (exchange, short-term study abroad, international study, etc.) or are thinking about taking the IELTS test, please join us.
