In order to realize a vibrant aging society, this project aims to: (l) independently and effectively create and deploy a "Living Laboratory" platform jointly between industry, government, academia, and the private sector; and (2) conduct joint research with Sweden, where the Living Laboratory concept is well advanced, with the aim of establishing an International Collaborative Living Laboratory. In other words, the objective is to create an infrastructure for innovation. Specifically, the Japanese side will be led by Kamakura Living Laboratory and the Swedish side will be led by Smoland Living Laboratory, which will carry out innovative activities (cocreation activities) for the aging society. The process leading to the establishment of the International Collaborative Living Laboratory will be in two stages: Phase I and Phase Il. In Phase I, the activities and know-how of both sides will be integrated, and the specific systems and environment of the International Collaborative Living Laboratory (ICT platform, etc.) will be examined and verified. In Phase Il, the International Collaborative Living Laboratory will be fully deployed to build a Living Laboratory capable of acting internationally. Through this project, Japan and Sweden will act as contact points between Asia and Europe to revitalize the elderly market worldwide.
