UTokyo OCW supports one of "the opening of the gates of knowledge" programs.

The University of Tokyo launched UTokyo OCW in 2005 (then named as UT OCW) as part of the “open the gates of knowledge” Initiative. We have since provided lecture materials and videos used in our regular courses, compiled in line with the University of Tokyo education programs. These materials are freely available for anyone even outside the university. The materials available in UTokyo OCW are virtually the same as those used in the actual lectures.

UTokyo OCW uses a distinctive MIMA Search to present a visual connection between related lectures in a structural graph.

At UTokyo OCW, lecture materials and videos are open to the public from a collection of over 1,400 lectures from the university’s regular courses, as of April, 2017.
