King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi Summer Program (KMUTT)

Overview

This is a customized two weeks program for UTokyo students based on a short summer program provided by King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (hereinafter referred to as KMUTT). The main target for this program is undergraduate students, but graduate students who are also interested in the theme of this program can apply. In order to make it possible for students from various fields to participate, opportunities to learn subject themes and Thai culture will be provided from a cross- / multiple-disciplinary fields. On the last day, discussions in groups will be held. Around half of the curriculum lectures in line with the theme will be at KMUTT. Other activities will consist of visits to companies, projects and so on. There will also be sessions to experience Thai culture. Participants can learn fundamental subjects for a broad knowledge required as a global talent through 1) lectures in English, 2) visits to companies and institutions according to the theme, 3) experience gained through discussion and collaboration with students from KMUTT, and 4) through experiences of cultural knowledge and practical skills that cannot be experienced in your country.

  JPY 70,000 (including tuition fee, accommodation, tour bus charter fee, reception, etc.)
  Airline tickets, dinner, personal expenses, and so on are to be paid individually.
(Scholarships)
  JPY 70,000 will be awarded those who are eligible and wish to receive the scholarships.
