The goal is to establish a new cross-disciplinary research field, "Brain Information Dynamics". This encompasses the construction and modeling of local cytoarchitecture, which is able to define information flow in the brain, high-resolution recording and manipulation of multi-area network dynamics, model validation with a view to closed-loop control, and the construction of innovative brain-based architectures that incorporate the results of these studies.
