The development of world models and the evolution of simulator technology are the central technological issues in the future evolution of AI. In particular, world model is expected to become indispensable for platform construction and application development in fields of AI application that have a large social impact, such as robotics and semantic understanding of language.
By securing a place for research and implementation of state-of-the-art world models, and educating industry about the technology, it is expected to promote readiness for practical application. In addition, through lectures and other educational activities, the project aims to develop human resources capable of handling world model technology.
