We design and characterize spin/optomechanical systems for a quantum repeater. With phonon engineering as the core, we are also engaged in phonon field formation to suppress quantum decoherence, phonon polariton energy transport, advanced phonon and thermal transport control techniques, as well as thermoelectric energy harvesting.
