The humanities are intellectual activities aimed at constructing the whole picture of and of human beings and societies through focusing on general words (concepts) and logic, a pursuit of what lies at the root of them. This project intends to draw fully on these characteristics of the humanities to discuss the sustainability of human beings and societies, and attempts to provide a integrated perspective on various issues related to sustainability including SDGs. We held many study sessions and other activities during the 1st series period (2009-2014) to deepen our discussion. In the currently 2nd series period (2015-2020), we continue activities with researchers from multiple disciplines to examine what value is to be sustained.
