Message for UTokyo staff: Lowering of the activity restriction guideline level at the University of Tokyo

October 4, 2021

To all faculty and staff members of the University of Tokyo:

The state of emergency of the 19 prefectures was lifted on Thursday, September 30th. In response, we have decided to relax the university’s level of activity restriction guidelines from its current Level B to Level A on Monday, October 4th, taking into consideration the overall situation concerning the infection both inside and outside the university.

Please continue to take thorough infection control measures in order to carry out educational and research activities on campus safely.

OKUBO Tatsuya,
Executive Vice President
Head, UTokyo Coronavirus Task Force
