Welcome Party for Incoming Students 2019
On April 24, 2019, the 3rd Welcome Party for Incoming Students was held at the UTokyo Co-op Daini Dining Hall (on the 2nd floor) at Komaba Campus, hosted by the UTokyo Alumni Association.
Thanks to the tremendous support by faculty/staff members including Professor Ohta, Dean of the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, who kindly mentioned this party at the matriculation ceremony on April 10, as many as 250 people including 200 incoming students, 16 faculty members and 16 alumni, came to the event, compared to 180 last year.
Many of the students gave positive comments about the party, such as:
- It was so nice to have been able to talk with faculty members as well as alumni on topics including future career paths and school life.
- I was able to talk with other students.
- I was able to make friends with other students, etc.
The 4th Welcome Party for Incoming Students is scheduled for April 2020.

The 2nd Welcome Party for Incoming Students was held on April 26, 2018.
About 150 participants including incoming students, senior students, faculty members, alumni attended the event.
