Completion of the university-based novel coronavirus vaccination program

November 5, 2021

The University of Tokyo has been carrying out vaccinations for the novel coronavirus infection on its Hongo Campus since Thursday, July 8. This was to reduce the burden on the community’s own vaccination program as well as to assist in accelerating the vaccinations in order to further suppress the spread of infection. The university-based vaccination program ended on Friday, October 29.

During this period, a total of about 26,000 people (approximately 52,000 shots), including students and faculty members of UTokyo and their families, students and faculty members of neighboring universities, students planning to study abroad at other universities, and business operators on campus were vaccinated.

We will continue to promote our research and educational activities while giving the utmost consideration to the prevention of the spread of infection.
