・The University of Tokyo dispatches students to programs conducted by partner institutions abroad. Program content varies and may include language or thematic lectures, fieldwork, engagement with local students, cultural activities, and other components.
・This program is generally designed for groups consisting of students from the University of Tokyo and other Japanese universities.
・The University-wide Winter Programs (Outbound) are similar to University-wide Summer Programs (Outbound）, but the schedule and the host universities are different.
*The program does not require a high level of language proficiency. However, it requires students to take the initiative in preparing for their study abroad, including handling application procedures with the host university, purchasing airline tickets, interacting with other participants, and traveling to the destination. While high language proficiency is not necessary during the program, students are expected to act proactively rather than passively, to ensure they have a meaningful time even in an environment surrounded by Japanese students. Please consider applying with these points in mind.

*In addition to the programs listed on this page, UTokyo GlobE will offer joint programs with the Asian University for Women (to be held in Bangladesh) and Princeton University (to be held in the United States) as the University-wide Winter Program (Outbound/Joint) AY2025. Please find the details of each program below. Further information, including application procedures, will be posted on the Go Global website as the applications periods approach.

*The deadline for inquiries to the International Education Promotion Group regarding the programs is Monday, November 2 at noon.
*The deadline for consulting with the relevant office of your affiliated College, Faculty, or Graduate School may be earlier than the program application deadline. Please check with the relevant office well in advance and ensure that you fully understand all important academic matters at UTokyo related to studying abroad before applying.
*Applicants wishing to be considered for a program scholarship may be required to submit supporting documents, such as tuition waiver or scholarship-related documents and tax certificates issued by their local government. Please begin preparing the necessary documents as early as possible.
Make sure to complete the online application via UTAS before the deadline. Before applying, please read the application guidelines and information materials carefully and consult with the relevant office of your affiliated faculty/graduate school to fully understand all important matters related to your academics at UTokyo when studying abroad, and obtain a signature from the office on the application form.
