To all students of the University of Tokyo:
The government's state of emergency was lifted on Thursday, September 30th. Considering the overall situation of the infection, both inside and outside the university, we have decided to lower the activity restriction guideline level from "B" to "A" from Monday, October 4th.

Thanks to the cooperation of our students with the infection control measures, we have been able to reduce the number of infected people at our university since September. All the faculty and staff members are grateful for the efforts and cooperation of the students.
Following the start of the A Semester, we believe that students will take part in their studies and extracurricular activities with a fresh mindset. However, please continue to follow the basic infection control measures and gradually expand the scope of your activities.
