Visa Consulting Service

The University of Tokyo provides visa consulting services for international students and foreign researchers throughout the University in order to respond promptly to questions about visa status and to reduce the burden on UTokyo faculty members and administrative staff hosting international students and foreign researchers.

・The Electronic Customs Declaration Gates (e-Gates) (Japan Customs)
Inbound passengers are able to submit the "Declaration of Personal Effects and Unaccompanied Articles" (the Declaration) electronically, for example, during the waiting times for checked baggage. After retrieving checked baggage, passengers may simply walk through the Gate for customs clearance without stopping or waiting.
