Summary This program enables UTokyo faculty to pay for a proxy to perform a portion of their assigned duties (buyout) from the direct costs of a competitive research grant.
Target Principal investigators, etc. engaged in research supported by a competitive research grant (limited to cases approved by the entity responsible for the distribution of the funds).
Support Details These funds can be used for educational activities, activities related to the dissemination of research results, activities deemed appropriate by the dean or director of the graduate school/institution, as well as administrative work associated with such activities.
Application Period On-going (as this program requires approval from the dean or director of the graduate school/institution to which the principal investigator, etc. belongs, please check with the person responsible in the relevant departmental office regarding the application deadline).
Features By applying for this program, faculty members who conduct research supported by competitive research grants will have more time to devote to such research, thereby contributing to the further advancement of said projects and the enhancement of the UTokyo’s research capabilities.
